[It takes a bit of time before the journal gets into focus revealing a dark haired woman who is now in view, it was obvious she had never used anything like the journal from the momentary glimpse of curiosity with her expression and that she is extremely calm about her arrival for the most part]

Oh! There we go. This is working, isn't it? Now I think I've heard the basics about this place but that hardly makes this anymore reassuring if we're to stay here. It's a bit worrying actually since I have a family to get back to, after all.

If these are supposed to be used for communication, I'm guessing people can hear me through this? I'm not sure whether I know anyone here yet but this seems be the way to find out— I'm looking for two of my sons or anyone who would be from Konoha? I'd really grateful for any help at all.

[Still staring. Okay...wait, the woman's talking...right. Talking. With voices. That aren't dead.]

Uh...yeah. Yeah, I'm okay. Just...I guess a little surprised to see someone from home.

[She rubs the back of her head, managing to look a little sheepish.]

Oh! So you're from Konoha too?

I guess there really are a lot of us here.

I am. And...seems that way. Fifteen at least from what I've heard.

[She quirks her head to the side, inspecting.]

I'm Anko, by the way.

Really? Fifteen— that is definitely a lot.

[She just smiles] It's nice to meet you, Anko. My name is Uchiha Mikoto.

[Anko's smile is a bit more forced. She...knows the name, though she's never met the woman.]

It's nice to meet you too, Mikoto. I can't really say I know if your youngest is here, but I've spoken to Itachi.

But if there's something I can do, well...[She shrugs] I'll do what I can.

You have? I've heard they're both here but I haven't spoken to them yet.

Thank you— of course the same goes for you too.

Yeah, he contacted me. I'm sure he'll be in touch with you.

[She nods in thanks.]

Mind if I ask, what was the last thing from home you remember?

Yeah, I guess I'll have to wait until he does.

[She smiles for just a moment before she recalls what she last remembers] I don't mind at all. It's nothing all outside of the usual— I was just making dinner and waiting for Sasuke to head back home.

[Somehow, that seems just...sad. Anko smiles brightly though, covering up that particular emotion will a well-practiced bit of false cheer.]

Sounds nicer than me. I was out on a mission, nothing exciting though.

Really? What kind of mission was it? [Honestly that sounds like it's more interesting than her day given it's been a while since she was last on a mission]

Scouting, really. Trying to locate a criminal that'd been spotted near the edge of the Flame Country's borders. So, lots of running around in circles, really.

Ah, so you never found them?

Not yet, no. But we were running low on supplies and figured there was a chance that we could get an update on locating the target back at the village.

That sounds unfortunate but it does make sense.

Best option, really. The whole thing is a bust, though. Since I'm here now.

So far so good. Hopefully it's as easy for you.

I hope so too. I know both my sons are here now so it's one less thing to worry about at least.
